JAVA HEAT is the first film shot entirely in Indonesia to feature both Hollywood stars and local Indonesian talent. Mickey Rourke (IRON MAN 2, SIN CITY, THE WRESTLER) plays Malik, a dangerous, cunning jewel thief and the subject of our hero’s vengeance. Kellan Lutz (TWILIGHT SAGA, IMMORTALS) is Jake, a ruggedly hansom, cocky, secretive but reckless American who is in hot pursuit of Malik. Ario Bayu (LASKAR PELANGI, PINTU TERLARANG) takes on the role of Hashim, a courageous, cerebral, honest Muslim detective who must team up with Jake to catch Malik.
